MALARIA FACTS

Malaria, a life-threatening disease, is caused by parasites transmitted by bites of infected mosquitoes. But did you know that the DRC, Zambia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe account for over 22% of world deaths in 2021 and with funds having been diverted to Covid-19 response, deaths from malaria in SADC region have increased by over 13% each year since 2019.
